Yosemite National Park

Chester poses for a picture in Yosemite. I decided that I had a little bit of time before heading back to Tahoe so I decided that I would spend a few hours in the park. The scenery is so beautiful, I just couldn't help myself. Large granite walls make up this park, and who could pass up a view of half dome?
Tuolume Meadows

The ever so popular site - Half Dome. In memory of Ansel Adams - this one was turned into a black and white.
Tuolumne Meadows from Olmstead Pass.

Lake Tahoe area, California

Jilli and my new pal Chester have had the pleasure to come with me on my mountain biking and hiking adventures around the Truckee and Lake Tahoe area. These two pictures were taken on a the trails. Jilli's picture was taken on a hike to view the lake. The one below was taken on trail near where my friends live that take you above the Truckee river valley seen in the background.

The next two pictures were taken from a hike up on the 5 Lakes trail. The trail starts near the Alpine Meadows ski resort and heads up and over the mountain to 5 lakes. I meandered around the lakes and onto the Pacific Crest Trail for a bit of exploration. Total miles ended up around 8-9. I came home after this one and crashed!

Beautiful Lake Tahoe.

Last Days of Winter

On my way home from work the other day, the mountains called me. The morning was beautiful, the mountains and trees were snow capped and basically irresistible. Luckily I had my hiking shoes, camera and Miss Jilli - we were off onto the trail. I have to say that playing in the snow after a fresh dump, is most definitely my favorite past time.

Outdoor Article

Who'd have thunk that I could be inspirational enough to have an article written about me. I have been fortunate enough to travel and see many unique places around the world. Life is to be lived and I enjoy every minute of it!

Pic of the Day!

This is the Bridger Mountain range that overlooks Bozeman and my home. My favorite site after a fresh dump of snow!

Christmas Eve Special

These pictures were taken on Christmas Eve. A local Bozeman neighborhood place these bags along their yards and line the road. It is just a piece of wood with a candle on it in a white paper bag. Very simple and elegant.
