Burj Khalifa and Dubai part 2

This the Burj Khalifa - the tallest building in the world at 2716.5 feet. It hosts the Armani Hotel, residences, corporate offices and a 4 story gym. Outside it host a water park as you can see from the photo below.
The view below is from the observation deck at 124th story. The elevator went up at 10 meters per second.

Views from the top - looks like Vegas!
The water fountains at ground level.
 Jumeriah Mosque
The Burj Khalifa during the daytime - just a little smog and humid as it was 105-10 with about 100% humidity.

Inside the Dubai Mall

Hey Look - in case you had a fascination and not wanting to leave the comforts of America - there is Fridays (and others such as Starbucks).

Dubai Part 1

After a 15 hour flight from Seattle to Dubai, Krissa and I hit the sack for the night. We got up early and made our way to Dubai Creek and took an abra (old boat) the souks.
This is Dubai - old and new. Abra and jet boat.

Da Grizzly Bear

I had the opportunity to spend 3 summers amongst these amazing beasts in Katmai National Park, Alaska. This bear is captive and is only 2 years old. She already weighs almost 500lbs.

Latest and Greatest Adventures

The photos below reflect an epic week of biking and hiking. I have truly been pleased with the area that I live in lately. I guess I kind of forgot how fun it was to get up high on a mountain top. I feel like the last week has been filled with fresh air and adventures.

Wilsaw Rodeo

I tried to just 'sit and watch' and not take any photos. My boyfriend Trevor - knows better that I can't do it, so he brought his point and shoot - and here a few that I got. What a fun day!

Livingston Valley

This valley sits right behind Livingston Montana - the area is stunningly beautiful right now as the wild flowers are in bloom and the landscape is a crisp bright green with snow-capped mountains.

Trust - New Artwork

After a long soul search in my photography, I came across an email that talked about making mosaics with your photographs. I tried it, and this was the product. I have a bunch of prints and thought it was a great idea. Here are the samples I've made so far.

Cheetah!!

A fun one from the Phoenix Zoo! Wikipedia says this about the Cheetah: The cheetah achieves by far the fastest land speed of any living animal—between 112 and 120 km/h (70 and 75 mph) in short bursts covering distances up to 500 m (1,600 ft), and has the ability to accelerate from 0 to over 100 km/h (62 mph) in three seconds.

Lone Mountain at Big Sky Resort

The mountain I fell in love with many years ago when I left home to be a ski bum for a year.

another angle of the old Warren Miller Truck

This old truck that was used by Warren Miller captured my attention after a long stint of not being inspired to take many photos. I absolutely love old trucks and this one with Lone Mountain in the background captured my heart.

Winter Scenic from Big Sky, Montana

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to ski with some amazing people and they happened to be wounded warriors who fought for our country. Warren Miller joined them for a dinner and gave a speech. This was one of his comments. I find freedom when I roam the mountains and the saying just captivates the essence of living and playing in the mountains.
